DEBATING THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT: FEDERALIST VS. ANTI-FEDERALIST ARGUMENTS IN 2013
1. Find two articles about a current issue, topic, problem, etc. related to the debate over the role of government. The article should be about the idea of how big and powerful the government should be.
- Article must be from a respected news source
- Article must be from 2013
2. Write 150-250 word analysis of the article
- What's happening in the articles? How are they related?
- In what ways are these articles debating the role and size of the government?
- How does this issue relate to the debate that occurred between Federalists and Anti-Federalists during the creation of the United States Constitution?

BLOG POST #1- FORMS OF GOVERNMENT
Look for 2 articles about one of the forms of government we discussed in class. The articles MUST be from 2013.
- What's actually happening in your articles?
- What connections or themes do you see in these articles related to your government type?
- What system of government is it? (capitalism, totalitarianism, etc.)
- How is this system of government functioning today?
- Is this system of government working successfully or unsuccessfully based on the articles you found?
Make sure you post the URL to your 2 articles on the blog along with your analysis. Your post should be 150-200 words.
EXAMPLE- Find articles about totalitarianism/militarism in North Korea.
